神戸市在住の刺繍アーティスト、絵本作家、イラストレーターです。保護犬2匹と夫、長男の5人で暮らしています。
テキスタイルならではの素材感を活かしつつデザイン化し、物語性を持たせた作品制作が得意です。
フォークアートとアールブリュッド、DIY、語学学習（英語と韓国語）が好き。
神戸大学経営学部卒
大学卒業後、4年間、外資系企業でファイナンシャルアナリストを務め、退職後、独学でデザイン、アート、刺繡を学ぶ。2003年雑貨ブランドMICAOを立ち上げる。2007年よりイラストレーターへ。
MICAO has been an embroidery artist, children’s picturebook auther and illustrator since 2007.
She was born in Himeji city in 1967, and graduated from Kobe university majored in business administration.
She taught herself dyeing, sewing, etc. before establishing her career as an embroidery artist and illustrator.
Her work ranges from advertisement for major companies to cover art for books and magazines, and even collaborative works with a stationary manufacturer.
She has energetically participated in solo and group exhibitions every year in Japan.
